Wells Fargo Celebrity Tournament
The WVBF Wells Fargo Celebrity Bass Tournament was held on the Monongahela River in Morgantown on July 24, 2009
from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. WVBF anglers paired with celebrities in a pro-am format were allowed to bring in their
largest bass for the afternoon.
WVU athletic director Ed Pastilong, Morgantown mayor Bill Byrne, former Morgantown mayor Ron Justice and son Chris,
National Guardsman Sgt Sears, Wells Fargo's Sharon Harvey, WVDNR biologist Frank Jernejcic, WV Radio's Chris Lawrence
and WBOY's sportscaster Scott Grayson competed on the Monongahela River all afternoon and all brought fish to the
scales. The team of Ed Pastilong and John Burdette were the eventual winners with a 1 pound 9 ounce largemouth.
A special thank you to the celebrities and WVBF members that participated. Also thanks to Russ's Ribs for providing
an awesome lunch barbeque to kick off the event. Last but certainly not least a big thank you to Wells Fargo for
sponsoring the event.
