MORGANTOWN -- Morgantown has hooked a big event that showcases the Monongahela River and its fish.
The city will host the 2009 Mid-Atlantic Divisional Championship and organizers say it is quite a big catch for
anglers, the public and the local economy.
Officials made the announcement Tuesday morning that they will host the September 20 through 25 event.
The weigh-in will take place at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Park Ampitheater in downtown Morgantown.
As many as 84 competitors from across the mid-atlantic area will compete in the tournament, with the best anglers
qualifying for the 2010 TBF National Championship. |
