The 2-day Championship tournament will be an “Invitational” format. Since
April, we’ve conducted a series of 6 qualifying team tournaments - The WVBF Buddy Trail. From these tournaments,
the top 40 teams have qualified to be invited to fish in the 2-day Morgantown event as the championship.
This will be a NO-ENTRY-FEE based tournament. The prize purse will include funding by the sponsors.
We will launch the tournament bass boats out of the Walnut Street boat ramp in Downtown Morgantown. Parking will
be beside the Waterfront Place Hotel. The trailer parking will be marked with signage and is approx ¼ mile
from the boat ramp. University Motors will provide shuttle service to and from the parking/ramp/ The live on-stage
weigh in will take place at the Hazel Ruby McQuain Amphitheatre stage (see photo) with professional emcee Chris
Lawrence, host of the state-wide “West Virginia Outdoors” radio program. The tournament competitors will temporarily
dock at the B.I.G. dock immediately behind the stage.
Principle partners include: West Virginia BASS Federation, Greater Morgantown Convention and Visitors Bureau, The
City of Morgantown, West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and University Motors and The Dominion Post. The
Ramada Inn is the host hotel for the two-day event.
Additionally, local and state-wide sponsors, organizations and individuals will fill important roles as needed.

MARINE, MOUNTAINEER BOAT SALES, DOUGLAS SPORTING GOODS, DAVE WARDS' PIER 152 MARINE, WRIGHT'S RIVERSIDE MARINE
, Food vendors, etc.)

A mandatory Team Meeting will be held Friday July 27 at 7:00 pm at the Ramada Inn.
Tournament Hours: 7am-4pm. All WVBF Tournament rules apply.
