West Virginia Bass Federation reaffirms vote - now aligned
with TBF

In an overwhelming vote of support, The West Virginia BASS Federation has voted to reaffirm its commitment to The
Bass Federation Inc.
Following a lengthy meeting of more than three and a half hours Sunday February 5, 2006, the clubs present voted
to reaffirm the vote to support TBF on December 11, 2005. 77% of the WVBF clubs attended the meeting in Flatwoods,
West Virginia. Each club was allowed one vote per club and the breakdown was as follows: Yes=51, no=2, abstain=1,
left before vote taken=1.
During the meeting, WVBF President John Burdette presented in detail all of the options available for the future
direction of WVBF. Many questions were asked from the floor and thorough discussion regarding the B.A.S.S., TBF,
BassFan, and FLW proposals took place.
The vote to reaffirm the earlier vote in December came following a motion from the floor.
Information packets on how to register for TBF, FLW and other pertinent materials will be mailed to WVBF club presidents
in the coming days.
The West Virginia Bass Federation, over 800 members, is the state's largest and most active fishing organization.
In addition to competitive tournaments, the WVBF conducts numerous youth activities and conservation projects throughout
the year. The Federation is also active in lobbying elected leaders for legislation to benefit all outdoors enthusiasts.
