3rd Annual Sport & Outdoor Show
"A Salute To Our Armed Forces"

The West Virginia BASS Federation and the Harrison County Schools will present the Outdoor Expo March 20, 10am-8pm
and 21, 11am-6pm. The event, sponsored by WBOY, WKKW, Country Club Chrysler, Lowe's, Pepsi, United Hospital Center
and Harry Green Chevrolet will be held at the former Lowe's building in the East Pointe Plaza in Clarksburg. All
proceeds will benefit the West Virginia BASS Federation's and Harrison County Schools Hooked on Fishing Not on
Drugs youth outdoor programs.
The show will feature bass displays, hunting and fishing booths, turkey calling seminars, product demonstrations,
concession booths and many local and regional vendors. Learn tips and techniques that will help you catch more
fish.
A special feature will be The CastingKids contest each day. Open to young people in two age groups, 7-10 and 11-14,
the goals of this competition are to involve area youth in fishing and to foster in each participant an appreciation
and concern for our outdoors. BASSMASTER CastingKids competitions are similar to the old NFL punt, pass, and kick
events, except the challenge is to flip, pitch and cast. These are three very important skills everyone needs to
know in order to catch fish. Scoring is based on a point system so the young angler with the most points wins!
Times of the show are: March 20th 10am - 8pm and March 21st 11pm - 6pm. Admission is $2.00 and all kids with a
paid adult are free.
The West Virginia Bass Federation, over 800 members, is the state's largest and most active fishing organization.
In addition to competitive tournaments, the WVBF conducts numerous youth activities and conservation projects throughout
the year. The Federation is also active in lobbying elected leaders for legislation to benefit all outdoors enthusiasts.

Coming from I-79 North, take the Clarksburg/Bridgeport/Route 50 exit, turn right at light, go to the next stop
light and turn right then bear to your right into the East Pointe Shopping Plaza. The Lowes building will be beside
Kroger's.
Coming from I-79 South, the same exit as northbound but turn left at the light and follow the same as above. |
