By all accounts, the 2003 season of the West Virginia BASS Federation Buddy Trail has been a huge success thus
far. With three of the six events in the books, the team trail has been averaging 96 teams per event. And the Summersville
Lake tournament saw one of the largest payouts in the history of the trail. More than $7,000 was paid out Saturday.
The team of Pioch/Belcher took home the honors of first place and a $3,729 payday which included $1,000 in Triton
Gold money and $500 from H & S Sporting Goods in Princeton, West Virginia.
Howard Hill, Owner of H&S Sporting Goods, A Triton Boats Dealer, was very enthusiastic about the opportunity.
"The fact that these guys won the tournament , that they won the Triton Gold money and the prize money from
my store is awesome." Next year any Triton Boat owner who wins a buddy trail event with a Triton Boat and
they bought their Triton at H & S, they'll win an extra $500 from H & S," Hill said.
The next WVBF Buddy Trail event will be Sunday, June 1, 2003 on the Kanawha River in Charleston, West Virginia.
