Flying Blind in Burnsville
[April 18, 2003] - By Benjamin Huffman
"I have 7:00am. First flight returns at 4:00pm, second at 4:30pm," announces tournament director Steve Jackson. #1…Ok, #2…Ok,…#23…#23!…anyone seen #23?...Ok. #76…Where's #76?...Ok.

The start of the Buddy Trail season began last Saturday, April 12th, with 98 boats making a showing. It was quite enjoyable listening to Steve announce boat numbers, but not be able to see them waving for acknowledgment due to some early fog. Some guys even flashed their lights trying to get his attention.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining about the day of fishing. Different weather patterns will be thrown at us while we work into summer and we will have to take them with a grain of salt as they present themselves. Not to mention, it could have been snowing…Sutton 2002.
