Mollohan Response
The 2001 State Tournament anglers won't have to waste time waiting around at the locks on the upper Monongahela
River. Inquiries by Federation Conservation Director Jim Summers have prompted a response from U.S. Representative
Alan Mollohan. The following is the text of a letter dated January 10, 2001.
Dear Mr. Summers,
I have received a response from an official with the Corps of Engineers regarding my inquiry on your behalf. I
have enclosed a copy of this correspondence for your reference.
As you will note, I am advised that the Corps has agreed to extend their hours of operation for the Hildebrande
and Opekiska Locks and Dams from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM on October 20 and 21, 2001 to accommodate the Bass Angler Sportsman's
Society fishing tournament. I hope you find this information helpful.
I hope you won't hesitate to contact me again if I can be helpful in any way. I want to be of all possible service.
Most Sincerely,
Alan B. Mollohan
