Hooked on Fishing Day
Along with Valley High School and the Department of Natural Resources, Northern Mountaineer Bass Club held the
second annual Hooked on Fishing Day Feb. 26 at Valley High School. Sixty-one children and many of their parents
enjoyed a day of learning about the outdoors. Various seminars were held throughout the day along with a CastingKids
competition. Pizza and fruit Juice was served for lunch and at the end of the day gifts of tackle boxes and fishing
poles were given to the children. Winners in the Casting-Kids contest were: 7-10 Ethan Riggs, and 11-14 Daniel
Park. Sponsors of the event was Northern Mountaineer Bass Club, The trading Post, Sons of The American Legion,
post #81, Aquatic Enterprises, and Valley High School. |
